Seriously? Do you have any proof to support such claim? I personally don't remember seeing such structure in Pre-Searing. Hell, not even that shade of sky color.

Guild Wars: Eye of the North <---> GWEN
Sorry if anyone posted this already I just thought it was interesting, but I am sacred of this GW2 thing, It just seems like NcSoft taking over trying to copy WoW. I hope they keep the basics for GW2 [b]ie.(8 skills, Instances, 20 Level Cap, separation of PvE and PvP, start PvP characters at max level, and ofcourse NO subscription fee) we can only hope for these but it seems to me like ANET is loosing control of the direction of the game. Bah! I hope GW2 doesn't change and become a WoW clone.

As long as I can transfer characters from GuildWars "1" to GuildWars "2",I'm perfectly fine with it.
If not,Eff that.

Thanks for summing up everything in the post so far. ;D
Like many other people so far, I'm pleased at the idea of a new GW, but the info given so far nullifies all of this. As for dungeons.. couldn't this be something like Urgoz or The Deep?

Even if the news is true, which I doubt it is. This does not mean that Guild Wars won't release a chapter 4, just means they will release a quick expansion later which will be mainly PvE oriented... wewt!

If this is true ........... No smoke without fire, then I hope that we can take existing characters through to GW2. Most of us by 2009/10 would have invested a lot of time in our characters.
Lore wise, this could very easily be overcome - 500 year old gap between GW and GW2 - Wake from a coma, deep freeze, a spell, will of the Gods, imortality, go through a rift, etc, etc.
Character-wise, they could do it in a similar way that was done with Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. If i remember correctly, your 'old' character transferred across minus a few levels and equipment, armours and weapons etc.
I think the story went that a thief snuck in whilst you were asleep and stole them from your personal chest whilst staying at an Inn. You eventually got them back a little later when you had reached a certain xp level after so many quests and areas etc. This was so you were not too overpowering for the monsters in the early stages of the game.
By doing it this way, ANET would retain its 'loyal player-base'.

I'm very skeptical about this news, but if it is true I will be quite dissapointed. The two things I enjoy the most about new chapters are the new classes and new skills. What the heck are we supposed to do with 150 skills? Unless they mean 150 skills per class, that seems more accurate. I don't like the idea of no new classes though, feel free to dissagree with me.

Selling chapters as stand alone games was always lame, I thought. They were reallt like campaign add-ons: new maps and new monsters and stories to the same game. It's cheating to sell those as new games.

Well, I have no experience with the site, so I don't know if it has good/bad reputation.
Since you seem to do, please elaborate and maybe we can just move on with our lives.

Who cares if it's credible or not? It's all we've got to talk about. It's a slow news season in the GW world.

I won't believe anything in this article until we get some sort of confirmation from NCSoft or A-Net.
In short, I do believe that Guild Wars 2 or whatever it is called will not allow characters from the original trilogy over...there have been many "hints" dropped in the past that this trilogy is stand alone, and there will be a "fresh start" in the next series.
Most of us will be completely burnt out with the original series anyways come 2009 and 2010...so I see this as a good thing.
